I can’t be intimidated, EeZee Tee tells Mercy Chinwo

Embattled record label owner Ezekiel Onyedikachukwu, popularly known as EeZee Tee, has declared that he will not be cowed by what he described as the unlawful use of law enforcement agencies to intimidate him.

The music executive made this statement while addressing his ongoing legal battle with his former artist, Mercy Chinwo, and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Speaking on the issue, EeZee Tee refuted claims that he was on the run, stating that he had made multiple visits to the EFCC office.

Despite his cooperation, he alleged that he was coerced into transferring $274,000 to Chinwo’s account under duress.

“The reason I spent nine days in EFCC custody was because they told me that if I didn’t write what they wanted, I would remain detained. I eventually wrote the statement under duress,” EeZee Tee revealed.

“It was my first time being detained. I challenge anyone to find my name linked to any law enforcement case anywhere in the world. Before this, I had never even visited a police station. I am a law abiding Nigerian who does straight business.”

EeZee Tee further accused the EFCC of forcing him to make the payment despite outstanding obligations from Chinwo to the record label.

“They made me transfer $274,000 to her, and I asked, “Why are you making me to pay her when she hasn’t fulfilled her contractual obligations?’ She still owes the company a third album and several singles. There’s also money she diverted into her private account that we were not aware of. Transparency has to go both ways,” he said.

The music executive reaffirmed his commitment to seeking justice and transparency, stating that he would not allow intimidation or coercion to overshadow the real issues at hand.
