How Uba Sani’s road projects are tackling insecurity in Kajuru – Residents

Residents of Kajuru local government area in Kaduna state have commended Governor Uba Sani for the ongoing road projects in the area, saying the improved infrastructure is reducing security threats and reviving farming activities.

The residents expressed their views during an assessment visit by stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and journalists to some of the project sites.

One of the residents, Daniel Yakubu Sisinkobo, said the 12.5-kilometre road linking Kasuwan Magani to Wusar, which is about 80 percent completed, has made it easier for farmers to evacuate their produce and for security personnel to respond promptly to emergencies.

“Before now, selling our farm produce was difficult because of the bad roads. Now, with this current development, movement has become easier and people are returning to their homes and farms,” he said.

Also speaking, the Village Head of Unguwan Aku, John Makadashi, noted that the 13-kilometre Fadama Kororo–Kutura road construction has helped secure communities that were once vulnerable to bandit attacks.

He appreciated the governor for prioritising Kajuru in his effort to improve rural security through road construction.

On his part, the Executive Chairman of Kajuru LGA, Hon. Dauda Madaki, said the road project had drastically reduced the response time of security operatives from two hours to just 30 minutes.

He described it as the first time the area was witnessing such infrastructural investment, saying it would have long-term impact on the economy of Kajuru and the state.

He assured the governor of the people’s continued support ahead of the 2027 elections. END.
