Thunder storm weekend allegedly killed a suspected ocultic man at Mark Doris hotels along Eke Afikpo, Afipko north local government area of Ebonyi state.
The deceased whose name was given as Kelechi was a middle aged man from Akahufu Ekpaomaka, in Ikwo local government of Ebonyi state.
Blueprint gathered that the deceased who based in Germany had checked into the hotel on 20th of September given instruction to the hotel attendants that nobody should disturb him but four days after his arrival the hotel management started perceiving offensive odour from the room where he lodged and immediately alerted police in Afikpo.
It was said that as the police broke into the room, the man was seen carrying calabash with some money inside while he had white cloth material on his head and wisest.
A source from the area, disclosed that the hotel management heard the thunder strike from his window but because the guest had instructed that nobody should come to his room unless he call the hotel attention, they didn’t border going to check on him.
A shocking disclosure by our source said the deceased last returned to Nigeria in 2017 and that the family was not aware of his presence in the country let alone being in Afikpo after 13 years.
It was whoever said that when the family contacted his friends in Germany, they expressed shock that they are not aware of his journey to Nigeria let alone lodging in Afikpo instead of Abakaliki the capital city of Ebonyi state.
Another information from a saource close to Ikwo LGA said the family has gone to a seer to find out the course of Kelechis’ death as he has been the source of living to the family.
When contacted, the police public relations officer in Ebonyi State DSP, Odah Loveth, confirmed the report and said police is working tirelessly to unravel the course of the man’s death.
Odah said, “when the police divisional crime officer, Afikpo division lead his team to the hotel on the 24th, break into the room , the man was already decomposing.
“His international passport was recovered in the room and the body evacuated to the mortuary.”
While Odah expressed shock over the incidence, she appealed to the people of Afikpo , Ikwo and his family members that any person with useful information about the death should contact the police, assuring that their identity will be protected.
