A Dubai returnee, Babawale Adekunle, has cried out over the alleged threat to his life by some cultists after killing his father, Alhaji Azeez Babawale.
He stated that his father had come to visit him at his residence at Baale’s compound, Idi-omo, Iragbiji, Osun state, when the cultists him killed him.
Lamenting that the cultists who are members of ‘Aiye Confraternity’ had invited him to join them, Adekunle said he has been running from one town to another to avoid the cultists.
“I was living in Dubai before I came home. When I returned, I thought of establishing a business and the incident happened about two months after I got to Nigeria. I didn’t take it seriously. Though I later informed the police, I returned to Nigeria on October 5th, 2022. I had an encounter with them on November 15.
“When I left Ilobu, I went to Iragbiji in Boripe local government. It was at Iragbiji that they came to threaten me and this prompted me to complain to the police. The police said there won’t be any problem.
“I thought the problem was over. My father left Ilobu to come and check how I’ve been living. He didn’t meet me and he waited for me. It was his corpse I met at home,” he stated.
