The Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Dr Folasade Yemi-Esan, has been designated as the University of lbadan at 75 Ambassador for her hardwork, integrity, commitment and visionary leadership of the federal civil service.
The Head of Service was honoured Friday in Abuja by a delegation from the university led by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kayode Oyebode Adebowale.
She was joined by the Permanent Secretaries in the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation to receive the ambassadorial award.
While thanking the Vice-Chancellor, the Head of Service recalled her days in the institution, saying it was a balance between academic and social life.
She urged the management of the university to work with the federal government in the area of research, adding government and institutions of learning need to come together to build a greater country.
She expressed gratitude for the recognition by her alma mater while pledging to do more in the area of research for national development.
Yemi-Esan attended University of Ibadan where she graduated as the best Bachelor of Dental Surgery student.
Established in 1948, the University of Ibadan, UI as it is fondly referred to, is the first university in Nigeria.
