Health scribe hails Kwali hospital mgt

Secretary of Health and Human Services Secretariat in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barrister Amanda Pam, has commended the management of Kwali General Hospital for making the hospital a befitting health care centre.
She made the commendation while on tour of the area to get first hand information regarding the challenges in the FCT general hospitals.
“It is an excellent work; the hospital is an upgraded. Kudos to those in-charge, more especially the medical director. I can assure that they are doing their best. We hope when we get to the secretariat looking towheads the budget certainly we are going to do significant things here to motivate the staff,” she said.
Pam encouraged the staff to keep on giving in their best with a view to improving quality health services to patients, even as she tasked them to redouble their efforts to impress her when next she re-visit the hospital.
On her part, the medical director, Dr. Halima Bello, said there was the need to upgrade the hospital in order to make it a conducive environment for the benefit of patients and staff, noting that the management would continue complement government’s gesture at all time.
The consultant stated that on assumption of office this year, she decided to carry out restructuring to include establishing Obstetrics and Gynaecology complex, Doctors’ Lounge, visitors’ arena and general renovation as well as enhancing security net work among others.
Meanwhile, the management of the hospital has organised an end of the year party and presented awards to distinguished staff who contributed in one way or the other towards providing sacrificial services to humanity.
