Hardship: Kano lawmaker dolls out N10m empowerment package to constituents 

In an effort to cushion the economic hardship being encountered by the people in the country, the member representing Fagge federal constituency, Barrister Mohammed Bello Shehu, has disbursed the sum of over N10million to women to assist them embark on small scale businesses, aimed at cushioning the current economic hardship.

Speaking during the ceremony which took place at Fagge Model Primary School Kano, Barrister Shehu said the objective of the gesture was to make them to become self reliant.

He said 80 people from Fagge C ward and Rijiyar Lemo would benefit from the empowerment, which comprised both women and men.

“As we pledged during our campaign that we will empower women and youths with finance to start up small scale businesses, today we are fulfilling that promise.”

“Some of you will benefit with N200,000, some N150,000 while some will receive N100,000.

Barrister Shehu urged the beneficiaries to make adequate utilisation of the financial empowerment.

“I hope next year by this time beneficiaries of this gesture would be able to support others ,I pray to Allah Subhanahahu wata’alah to bless your business and bring more goodies to our community, Kano state and the Nation at large.”

He added by the end of March this year other wards of Fagge Federal Constituency would also benefits from the same gesture .

In her remarks, the Zuwaira Abubakar Tarauni Women leader NNPP Kano state urged the beneficiaries of the gesture to make maximum utilisation of the empowerment.

“You should ensure you embark on small scale businesses so that you can help yourself and your family, I urge you not to relent in the pursue of your dreams”
