Republican candidate Donald Trump appears to be coasting home to victory in the ongoing United States 2024 Presidential election after winning .

Trump swept victories across Texas, Ohio, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Louisiana and Wyoming, and Harris won New York earlier on.

At the moment, Trump holds 267 electoral votes, just ahead of Kamala Harris with 214, with both candidates striving for the 270 needed to win.

Trump now has 51.2% to Harris 47.4% so far.

Trump’s path to 270 electoral votes has widened as he is leading in four other battlegrounds, including Pennsylvania, with 90% of votes counted in the state that would put him over the electoral vote threshold to win the White House.

Meanwhile, Several allies of Trump will be heading back to Congress, after handily winning reelection Tuesday evening.

Rep. Byron Donalds, a top surrogate for Trump’s reelection campaign this year, was one of the first House races called, according to projections by the Associated Press. Donalds has been on the campaign trail stumping for Trump and making appearances targeted at appealing to Black voters.

His win was followed soon by fellow Floridian and member of the ultraconservative House Freedom Caucus Rep. Anna Luna.
