Happening now: Rivers women rally in support of state of emergency

Hundreds of women in Rivers State marched on Monday in Port Harcourt in support of the state’s declaration of a state of emergency.

The women clad in white were singing solidarity songs in support of the Sole Administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (red), along Aba Road and marching towards the government house in Port Harcourt.

The women expressed support for Sole Administrator Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (retd.) in restoring peace and democratic governance.

The group urged Ibas to probe Fubara’s alleged bloated contracts, insisting there is no tribal war in the state.

This follows last week’s protest by women in black opposing the emergency rule and demanding Fubara’s return.
