Hajj 2024: 845 Ogun pilgrims arrive Madina

The first and second batches of 845 pilgrims from Ogun state, led by officials of Ogun state Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, have arrived Madina, Saudi Arabia.

They landed at Prince Mohammed Bin Abdulaziz Airport,  Sunday, May 19, 2024, at 11.15am and Monday, May 20, 2024, respectively, via Flynas Airline, to perform the holy pilgrimage.

Confirming the arrival of the pilgrims to journalists in Medina, the Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Dauda Salau, said the third batch of pilgrims were expected to land before the end of the week, expressing gratitude to Allah for  safe journey.

Alhaji Salau attributed the success of the state’s hajj operations so far to Governor Dapo Abiodun’s support, promising that the pilgrims would give a good account of themselves throughout the exercise.

He advised the pilgrims to keep in mind and utilise the information acquired from the sensitisation programmes organised for them prior to their departure and implored them to follow the rules and obey the officials throughout their stay.

Reacting, one of the pilgrims, Alhaji Tijani Fadilullai, said the journey from the Hajj Camp in Lagos to Madina was flawless and commended the state officials for their diligence.
