Gunmen kill Okada riders’ association official in Ekiti 

 

A middle-age man was Tuesday allegedly shot dead by gunmen around Okesa roundabout in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti state capital.

The man who is one of those issuing tickets to commercial motorcyclists around Okesa roundabout was said to have been fired by the unknown men who came on another motorcycle.

Eye witnesses said the killers ran away after perpetrating the evil act.

When contacted on telephone, chairman, Okada Riders Association, Ekiti state, Mr Kunle Asaolu, confirmed that the man was one of those working with the association.

The attack was also confirmed by the spokesperson for Ekiti state Police command, DSP Sunday Abutu, who said investigation has commenced.

The corpse of the deceased has been deposited at the Ekiti state Teaching Hospital morgue.
