Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have reportedly abducted, Prof. Monday Igbafe, the Benin Zonal Coordinator of Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
The lecturer was said to have been taken hostage at about 9pm on Saturday.
Blueprint gathered that Igbafe was accosted by the gunmen while he was driving into his residence at Ekpoma, Esan West Local Government Area of the State.
His abductors were said to have drove him away to unknown destination inside his ash colour Toyota High landa with registration number ABJ 180 JQ.
The State police spokesman, SP Joel Yamu, could not be reached for comments at the time of filing this on Sunday night.
