A group on the aegis of NBM of Africa Worldwide, has donated hundreds of uniforms and writing materials to Arinze, Oliha and Ezomo primary schools in Benin City, Edo state.
The Benin zonal president of the group, Comrade Peter Okoh, said the initiative seeks to “Support -A-School-Child Project” geared to assist and encourage students in their learning.
Okoh also stated that the school project’ is part of NBM of Africa Cooporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to its immediate community and humanity.
He noted: “We are committed to alleviate the sufferings of the people through humanitarian services, because we in NBM of Africa, we believe strongly in giving back to the society.
“We empower low-income individuals through different innovative and impactful health, social and economic empowerment programmes that have enhanced the well-being of some disadvantaged groups.”
Continuing, the NBM president stated that the group’s membership is open to the public, adding that it operates under a constitution that is accessible to everyone.
Okoh said its empowerment initiatives are in line with the Edo state governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo’s visionary leadership and commitment to the welfare of the people.
He commended the governor for his remarkable achievements in his first 100 days in office.
One of the pupils identified as Monday Oseghe, thanked the donors for the gesture, and pledged to put the writing materials to proper use.
