Group condemns corps member Uguamaye’s utterances against Tinubu

The Association of Arewa Yoruba Youth (AAYY) Wednesday condemned the recent remarks made by a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member, Ushie Rita Uguamaye, also known as Raye, against President Bola Tinubu.

In a statement, AAYY national coordinator, Ambassador Lawal Hussein Taiye, cautioned against personal attacks on government officials,  stating the need for responsible criticism that fosters national development.

“While we acknowledge the economic challenges Nigerians are facing, it is clear that things are beginning to improve due to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s sound policies. Our focus should be on identifying solutions rather than resorting to insults, which only escalate tensions,” he said.

Hussein, who also leads the Tinubu Mukeso Group, warned against using inflammatory language, stating that governance is a continuous process where every administration inherits challenges from its predecessors.
“For the country to progress, we must embrace constructive criticism aimed at finding solutions. Misguided statements and actions only create further divisions and hinder development,” he added.

He urged Nigerians to channel their grievances through appropriate means and leverage the country’s diversity as a source of strength to drive national unity and progress.
