Gov Sule charges pilgrims to be good ambassador

The Nasarawa state governor, Engr Abdullahi Alhaji Sule, Saturday charged the intending pilgrims from the state to be good ambassadors by abiding strictly to the laws of Saudi Arabia.

Sule, who gave the charged in his farewell message to the first batch of the state’s 2019 intending pilgrims in Lafia, assured that his administration is committed to the overall wellbeing of all citizens in the state.

The governor who was represented by the secretary to the state government, Aliyu Tijjani Ahmed, urged the intending pilgrims to make the state proud through their conduct, warneing that no pilgrim should do things that would bring the state into disrepute.

“I urged you all to exhibit the good conduct while in the holy land, and be good ambassadors of Nasarawa state and Nigeria.

The Public Relations Officer of the board (PRO) Abdulrazaq Mohammed, explained that out of the 965 intending pilgrims, 560 were the first batch expected to leave for Saudi Arabia from the state

The Amirul hajj and the emir of Lafia Sidi Mohammed Bage, said he will ensure that the pilgrims are protected, secured and safe in the holy land while performing the hajj.
