Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna state has flagged off the construction of 62 junior and secondary schools, as well as, construction of 32 roads across the state.
Speaking while laying the foundation for the construction of a senior secondary school in Nasarawa Rigachikun, Igabi local government area, he said the ground-breaking signalled the commencement of the construction of 62 schools across the state in a bid to ensure that “every child goes to school.”
The governor said under the infrastructure renewal programme of his administration for the schools, classrooms, laboratories, administrative blocks, multi-purpose halls and toilets would be constructed.
According to him, because of the high premium his administration places on education, his government would continue to accord priority in that regard.
Meanwhile, the governor has flagged off the construction of 25 kilometres Rigachikun – Tami – Birnin Yero rural road in Igabi local government area.
He said the road, when completed, would facilitate movement of agricultural products from rural communities to urban areas, while adding that in the next few days, he would embark on the ground breaking for the construction of 31 other roads within rural communities of all the local governments.
