He called on the people to shun divisive rumours being peddled about Bayelsa state adding that the state was more united for development and at peace with itself.

He said,” we encourage investment in real estate with the immediate signing of Certificate of Occupancy in spite of political differences.

Also speaking, Jonathan commended Governor Dickson for the land mark projects in the state including the New Yenagoa City project and said he was pleased with the state.

Jonathan also pointed out that a similar project was muted by his administration in the state before his elevation to the position of the Vice President, insisting that the Dickson administration was actually building on the dreams of past administration.

In his submission the Chairman of the Occasion, Gen. Abubakar, said he was delighted that the state has developed under the administration of Gov. Dickson.

He said, “I can’t believe that Yenagoa has developed to this level. Yenagoa is one of the fastest developing cities in the country. The vision of the new Yenagoa City is laudable.
