The Labour Party gubernatorial candidate in Kwara state, Dr Mike Omotosho, has hailed the decision of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to extend the collection date of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
Omotosho in a statement signed by the Director General of his campaign organisation, yesterday in Ilorin, Barr. Funsho Saad, said the extension would afford more people to exercise their civic rights.
The statement urged the people of the state to use the extension to go
pick up their cards for them to be able to choose leaders of their choices.
It further reminded the people that Labour Party would ensure an all inclusive administration if voted into office.
The statement also called on Kwarans not to trade their cards for any reason, adding that “doing so is amount to mortgaging their future.”
Omotosho also appealed to INEC to deliver free, fair and credible elections, saying that it was the only way to restore the country’s lost glories.
