A bulldozer or dozer is a large, motorized machine equipped with a metal blade to the front for pushing material -soil, sand, snow, rubble, or rock – during construction work. It travels most commonly on continuous tracks, though specialized models riding on large off-road tires are also produced.
This definition succinctly captures what Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello of Kogi state is doing to reshape the state’s politics and that of Nigeria at large. Consequently anyone he has offended, should pardon him because in the course of construction you are bound to step on toes. We the Kogites have started reaping the dividend of democracy, courtesy of Governor Yahaya Bello.
I therefore appeal to our political leaders in Kogi Central, where the governor hails from to understand that the governor’s actions are in the interest of all Kogities; the EBIGO, meaning Kogi first project. With one voice, we would be united and stronger..
The central senatorial zone should understand contemporary politics and emulate the northern politicians, where we belong. I always admire our brothers and sisters from North-west, and North-east, while the North-central differs.
Governor Yahaya Bello has robust relations with politicians across the country. He treats everybody fairly. In 2018 he worked closely with Natasha Hadiza Akpoti of Social Democratic Party (SDP) and Salau Ogembe of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). When Natasha had an accident on Abuja-Lokoja road, the governor was the first politician that visited her at her residence even though she was in the an opposition.
He was able to unite the central zone and entire Kogities, these reason is enough to appreciate God, for sending Bello to rescue the central zone from total collapse or elimination of the entire Ebira. From 2005 to 2007, most of our youths were killed without anybody confronting the then government led by.Kogi East.
Yahaya Bello balanced the civil service, built schools across the three senatorial zones and built modern hospitals in most of the local government areas, improved the revenue generation of the state, and built a church in the government house 24 years after the creation of the state.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) primary that was rated as the best in the history of Kogi state, saw the emergence of Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman party’s candidate for the November governorship election. Ododo’s quest to be the next governor of Kogi state, by God’s grace, is to serve the and take the state to greater heights.
No doubt Governor Yahaya Bello has restored peace to Kogi state. People now sleep with their two eyes closed, unlike before. Kudos to the governor and the entire Ebira. Governor Yahaya Bello is, indeed, the apostle of our time. I believe that succeeding governments would build on this legacy. I seize this opportunity to congratulate the incoming governor, Alhaji Ododo Usman Ahmed, insha Allahu
