Gombe: Sani trains 50 youth, women in agric value chain

Fifty youth and women have benefited from strategic training and empowerment programme in agricultural value chain initiated and sponsored by Muhammad Sani Abdullahi, the Majen Dukku.

The three- day programme, which was held at Mohammad Inuwa Yahaya Hall, Dukku, Gombe state, was organized by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security and National Animal Production Research Institute (NAPRI), Zaria, Kaduna state in Collaboration with Amrah Farms Nigeria Limited.

Speaking at the end of the training programme Saturday, the facilitator of the programme, Muhammad Sani, stated that the beneficiaries were carefully selected from Dukku local government and its environs.

While expressing satisfaction over the success of the training programme, the Sani charged the participants to put the skill acquired into proper use to have a stable and viable source of livelihood.

In his remarks, the community representative, Hon. Abdulkadir Abubakar Alkali, urged the participants to take advantage of the training in going into busineses that will improve their standard of living.

He also also urged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the items of empowerment given to them, assuring that more empowerment programmes are on the way for the good people of Dakku.

In his address, the representative of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and the National Animal Production Research Institute (NAPRI), Dr Ayinla John, commended the facilitator for his support and development to the community, stating that the beneficiaries should use the opportunity available to them to improve their wellbeing.
