The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Gombe state council has conveyed heartfelt greetings to the Muslim community in Gombe state and across the nation as they mark the celebration of Maulud Nabiyy, the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
In a press statement released by the NUJ Gombe chairman, Comrade Faruk Muazu Gombe, Sunday said the council stated the significance of the Prophet’s teachings, urging all journalists to embody the principles of peace, love, and compassion in their work.
“As we celebrate this sacred occasion, I extend my warm greetings to Muslim journalists, media practitioners, and the entire Muslim Ummah in Gombe.
“This is a time for reflection on the values of integrity, fairness, and balance that are central to our profession,” Comrade Gombe remarked.
The council also expressed hope that the Maulud celebration would foster peace, unity, and progress in Gombe state and the nation at large, concluding with well-wishes for a joyous and blessed observance of the Prophet’s birthday.
