Ganduje’s suspension a welcome development – NNPP

The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) on Monday has described the suspension of the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje as a welcome idea.

The NNPP Spokesman, Oladipo Johnson, who stated this while reacting to the controversial suspension of the APC National Chairman said the suspension was justified because “it was on the grounds of corruption.”

The APC National Chairman was on Monday suspended by his ward party executives in Kano state.

However, reacting to Ganduje’s suspension, Johnson said, “As at the time the suspension was carried out, l have not read APC constitution. However, we believe that the matter has to do with the internal affairs and internal workings of the party.

“But we might state that if truly the APC is thinking to stamp out corruption from its party by suspending its National Chairman and investigate him, them we must say kudos to them. This is what we need in the country as whole.

“As you know, the former governor has a matter with members of his family before the court on Wednesday on corruption. So, this processes are on and Nigerians are watching the ruling party to see how they will handle the entire situation.

“But as l said, it is the internal affairs of the APC and l haven’t read their constitution so l don’t know whether those who suspended him could have suspended him or not”.
