The governing council of Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUTMINNA), in Niger state, has approved the promotion of four associate professors and three senior lecturers to professors and readers, respectively.
Their promotion was approved at the 137th meeting of the school’s governing council, held at the Senate chamber of the school Wednesday. In a statement issued by the university after the meeting, Dr. Olugboji Olufemi Ayodeji of the Department of Mechanical Engineering; Dr. Ajayi Michael Tolulope Adeyemi of the Department of Estate Management and Valuation; Dr. Jiya Elisha Zhiri of the Department of Animal Production; and Dr. Kur Jude Terna of the Department of Information and Media Technology, were all promoted from associate professors to professors.
Also, the trio of Dr Idris Abubakar Mohammed of the Department of Industrial and Technology Education; Dr Mohammed Badamasi Yunusa of the Department of Geography and Dr Sulayman Aremu Olarenwaju of the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, were promoted from senior lecturers to readers.
The promotion of Dr B.D. Yunusa and Dr. S.A. Olarenwaju were with effect from October 1, 2017 and October 1, 2019, respectively. Others took effect from October 1, 2018.
