Fuel subsidy removal: Be patient with Tinubu, Emovworho urges Nigerians

Nigerians has been urged to be patient with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu- led administration on the removal of the fuel subsidy.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Emovworho logistics limited, Comrade Austin Obule Emovworho,  gave the charge in Abuja weekend and stated that subsidy removal will cut avoidable wastage in the country.

He pleaded with the federal government to come up with palliatives that could ease the pains of the removal of the subsidy on the people.

He added that Nigerians should not expect magic from the president, but that he has taken the right step by removing the fuel subsidy.

Emovworho said the government should come up with an economic policy that will stop traders and service providers from increasing prices of goods and services by 100 percent wherever there is fuel scarcity.

“Let there be a price control policy and a policy that will help the government to monitor the activities of market women and other traders thereby stopping them from charging outrageous prices for goods and services.”

He appealed to Tinubu’s administration to ensure improved electricity, transportation and youth inclusive for nation development.

“He said the president should also prioritise the security of lives and properties, saying it is the primary responsibility and first assignment of every responsible government.”
