Fubara pledges diversification of Rivers economy 

Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers state has pledged to diversify the economy of  the state and put the development of agricultural potential on the front burner. 

Fubara who weekend visited the Songhai Farm in Bunu community which is in Tai local government area said government would intensify efforts to boost agriculture. 

He expressed confidence in the ability of his administration to create employment opportunities and an enabling environment that would lead to the attainment of a high level of food sufficiency through agriculture. 

The governor later in his official x handle said his visit was part of bid to reform agriculture. 

“As part of our efforts to reform agriculture in the state, l visited the Songhai Farm in Bunu community Tai local government area of Rivers state.

 “My visit was geared towards the diversification of our economy for food security and the creation of employment opportunities.”
