FRSC celebrates at 32, wants staff to shun unholy acts

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has urged its staff to shun acts which could bring the image of the corps into disrepute.

Sector Commander of the corps in Ebonyi state, Mrs Stella Uchegbu, gave the urge during the celebration of the FRSC formation 32 years ago.

The sector commander represented by the Deputy Corps Commander (DCC) Administration and Human Resources, Mr Clement Nuesiri, lauded the giant strides of FRSC founding fathers and urged the staff to maintain good conduct.

“The corps will always pursue its core mandate as the  staff should re-double their efforts in ensuring safer lives on the roads.

“They should also key-into polices and actions that aims at reducing road accidents to the barest.

Uchegbu thanked the state government and all stakeholders in the road safety business and urged them to sustain efforts aimed at ensuring lives on the roads.

“We commend the resilience of the FRSC workforce in the state and urged it to sustain efforts in ensuring the safety of the motoring public.

She conveyed the appreciation of the FRSC Corps Marshal, Dr Boboye Oyeyemi to the corps management and staff, governments at all level, among other stakeholders in the task of ensuring safety on the roads.

The state Coordinator of the FRSC Special Marshals, Dr Anya Kama,  commended the efforts of the FRSC and pledged the continued collaboration of the special marshals in actualising set objectives.

He said that the special marshals will re-dedicate itself to the cause of enlightening and educating the public to observe safety practices on the roads.

Goodwill messages were delivered on the occasion as the staff cut the anniversary cake to mark the occasion.
