Several key players Victor Osimhen, Simy Nwankwo, Ola Aina and Kevin Akpoguma have all withdraw from Friday’s International friendly match against the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon over injury and non payment of outstanding match bonuses.
Nigeria are billed to take on the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon on June 4 in Austria with a second game planned for June 8.
Rohr revealed that Victor Osimhen, ‘Simy’ Nwankwo, Ola Aina and Kevin Akpoguma have all pulled out of the friendly on account of injury.
Another player called up for the Cameroon matches said his colleagues are unhappy they have not been paid bonuses for AFCON qualifiers for the whole of the year.
“The players are not happy,” the unnamed player told ESPN.
“They have not paid bonuses and allowances, nothing at all for the entire (2021) AFCON qualifiers.
“We have sacrificed by playing throughout the qualifiers without being paid.
