Foundation trains juvenile boys on crime prevention in Rivers

A group known as Equip Boy Child Project ( EBCP), has organised training and mentorship programme to prepare  young boys for effective leadership roles in the society.

The convener, Equip Boy Child Project, Mr. Patrick Uduma, while speaking to newsmen said the project was inspired by his own personal experiences and the realisation that many boys are not being adequately trained or mentored.

He said the programme is tailored,  designed and equipped to train the boys on leadership roles and also address the growing concern of juvenile crimes and the lack of positive role model for young boys.

He said the programme was targeting on boys between the ages of 9 and 20, adding that it is a critical period in their development and it helps to offer guidance to develop positive values and habits in them.

Speaking further, Mr. Uduma said despite challenges, the project has made a significant progress, with 15 boys graduating from the programme.
