The Ayewosai Global Foundation based in Minna, Niger state, has donated relief materials worth millions of naira to over 1,000 widows and their children.
The founder of the nongovernmental organisation and chief press secretary to the Niger state governor, Mrs Mary Noel-Berje, stated this Tuesday in Minna while reaching out to some of the beneficiaries.
She said, “We are determined to positively touch the lives of the underprivileged members of the society. The foundation has been reaching out to the people in the rural communities and assisted in their development.”
She said the foundation has also been assisting vulnerable women and children to have medical treatment, education and other financial assistance.
Mrs Noel-Berje stated that the foundation has recently concluded visit to about five Interly Displaced Persons Camps in the state, adding that food items and other relief materials were distributed during such visits.
The CPS expressed concern over the increasing hardship in the country saying that the poor people of the society were mostly affected.
