Foundation celebrates Sallah with orphans

As part of efforts to put smiles on the faces of orphans during the Eid celebrations, some members of Noorul Ummah Empowerment Foundation visited the Ummu Aytam Orphanage Home Unguwan Dosa, to celebrate with the orphans in the home in Kaduna Thursday.

Speaking at the occasion, the chairperson of the Foundation Aisha Aliyu Ismail said they were at Ummu Aytam inorder to show love and compassion to the orphans, noting that they had been doing it even during Ramadan because it serves as an avenue for them to celebrate with the children.

She said they are doing that so that the  orphans can feel the love that Eid-el-Fitr brings to the Muslim Ummah stressing that the foundation aims to revive the sunnah of charity amongst Muslims.

“The foundation was established to cater for the less privileged, it is a non-profit oriented organisation that depends on contributions from well meaning Nigerians.

“We have been involved in Ramadan feeding of thousands of Muslims and orphans, we are doing so inorder to earn Allah’s rewards and show support and encouragement to the orphans.”

The director of Ummu Aytam Orphanage Home Hajiya Zubaidah Bature commended the foundation for their assistance and prayed Allah to reward them for their support.

Some of the orphans also thanked members of the foundation for the visit.
