Former Nigeria’s Vice President bags traditional title

Former Vice President of Nigeria Arch Mohammed Namadi Sambo GCON has been conferred with a chieftaincy title, Sardaunan Zazzau, by the Emir of Zazzau, His Royal Highness (HRH), Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli CFR.

This was disclosed in a post on the Twitter page of the Zazzau Emirate on Saturday, May 6, 2023.

The statement reads, “Former Vice President of Nigeria Arch Mohammed Namadi Sambo GCON was, yesterday, in Zaria, capital of Zazzau Emirate, conferred with a chieftaincy title, ‘Sardaunan Zazzau’ by Emir of Zazzau HRH Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli CFR.”

Sambo served as the Vice President from May 19, 2010 to May 29, 2015 under President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.
