The Managing Director/CEO of the North East Development Commission (NEDC), Mohamed G.Alkali, and some senior staff of the commission weekend embarked on an assessment visit to Yobe where major length of the road/culvert and bridges collapsed in the state.
The commission visited Nangere LGA where road were damaged between Tarajim and Garin-Gada, due to heavy downpour. The road linked Potiskum to northern part of Yobe comprising of Jakusko, Bade,Yusufari, Karasuwa,Nguru and Machina LGAs.
Similarly, the NEDC team visited kariyari and Jumbam road in Tarmuwa LGA where road collapsed as a result of flood. The road linked 9 local government areas in the northern and eastern parts of the state.
