Firm, Benin disco partner to meter 10,000 households 

As part of efforts geared towards stemming the tide of estimated billings of electricity, a firm, Mojec international and the BEDC electricity has collaborated to meter 10,000 customers within 24 hours of their application.

The Mobile Meter Asset Provider (MAP) team lead of Mojec international ltd, Titilope Oyelade urged electricity consumers to leverage on the ongoing exercise to get their houses metered.

She disclosed that the prices of the prepared meters will be reviewed monthly as stipulated by the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC).

The Team lead who discribed the initiative as win-win for the company and customers, added that “it will also help BEDC to recover their losses and  revenue.”

On her part, the Head, Branding and Corporate Communications of BEDC, Mrs. Evelyn Gbiwen, said: “the disco is committed to working with partners like Mojec company to ensure that their customers receive quality services in a timely manner.” 

Gbiwen noted that the metering exercise will help address the long outstanding issues of delayed meter installation and provide customers with a quick and efficient solution.

She added that the initiative will help to improve customer satisfaction, reduce operational challenges and ultimately contribute to a more efficient and reliable electricity supply in BEDC franchise States of Edo, Ondo, Delta and Ekiti States.
