A popular hotel in Abuja, Focus Holiday Inn, was on Wednesday morning gutted by fire.
According to a hotel staff, the alarm was raised by a guest who rushed to the reception, reportedly unclad, to alert workers about the blaze.
The fire, which originated from a section of the three-storey building, quickly spread to other parts, causing widespread panic among guests and employees.
Blueprint learnt that fire crew were on site to contain the inferno.
The cause of the fire could not be immediately ascertained and no casualties have been reported as of press time.
Fire service officials and the police are yet to release an official statement on the incident.
