The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF after several months of dilly dallying with embattled Super Eagles gaffer ,Stephen Kesh finally offered him a two-years fresh contract to lead the National team after failing to qualify for 2015 Nations Cup.
NFF President Amaju Pinnick who announced this shortly after their Executive Committee meeting in Uyo however assured that the country’s football authority are ready to work with the Former Mali and Togo handler.
According to him “I can confirm that we have offered Stephen Keshi a new contract. His contract was ratified during our Executive Committee meeting. The remaining things are being sorted out .
“Having accepted the offer, We felt he should go ahead with the job of leading our senior national team and we are ready to back him.”
Keshi and NFF since after the 2014 World Cup in Brazil has been locked in cold war over contractual disputes
The announcement came on the day Uganda’s Cranes dealt a blow to the Super Eagles by a lone goal in an international friendly with Stephen Keshi watching proceedings from the sideline as Daniel Amokachi took charge of the team in his absence.
