‘FG not winning terrorism war’

President of One Love Foundation, Comrade Patrick Eholor, has said that President Goodluck Jonathan-led federal government was fast losing the war against terror.
He expressed concern over the frequent deaths of defenceless Nigerians, declaring that the extension of state of emergency declared in Yobe, Maiduguri and Adamawa was yet to yield the desired result.

He also challenged the federal government to dissect the content of grave security and missing funds allegations raised by suspended Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor, Malam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, and the allegation contained in former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s open letter to President Goodluck Jonathan.
Eholor said doing so would determine whether or not; the government was serious about his fight against corruption and insurgency.

The activist, who stated this in an interview with journalists, said: “I’m convinced that Nigeria is losing the war against terrorism.  Nigeria has not declared war, but we are at war.
“This goes to affirm former President Olusegun Obasanjo open letter to President Jonathan. We should for once forget about the messenger and look critically at the messenger’s message instead of criticising Obasanjo.

“Again, no matter how corrupt or notorious the suspended Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor, Malam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi might have been; he has raised dust, but some Nigerians are toeing ethnic lines.
“And I say no to ethnicity.  We must focus on Sanusi’s message. If we want Nigeria to be transformed, we must shun Nepotism and favouritism, which have been the bane to the country’s development.”
