FG confers ambassadorial title on 2 perm secs

The federal government has conferred Ambassadorial (In-SiTu) title on two Permanent Secretaries in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Aminu Nabegu and Olukunle Bamgbose.

This was contained in a statement issued by the Assistant Director (Press) in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mohammed T. K. Nakorji.

The two permanent secretaries, who had risen through the ranks with over three decades of cognate experience, were denied such titles.

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, said the new ambassadors had spent over three decades in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs before their appointment as permanent secretaries.

He congratulated them on their well-deserved title of In-Situ, and charged them to exhibit high sense of responsibilities associated with the title.
