FFS decorates 319 officers

Following the recent promotion of 319 officers of the Federal Fire Service (FFS) by the Cvil Defence, Fire, Immigration and Prisons Board (CDFIPB) the organisation has decorated the beneficiaries.
The Controller General, Eng. Joseph Garba Anebi, personally decorated the 5 most senior officers among the newly promoted officers who were promoted from the ranks of Deputy Controllers of Fire, DCFs to the ranks of Controllers of Fire, CFs.
Speaking during the ceremony recently at the agency headquarters in Abuja, Engr. Anebi who congratulated the officers and men of the Service, said: “To whom much is given much is expected.”
He told the beneficiaries that the new rank was coming with greater responsibilities and so they should brazen up and show more commitment in the discharge of their duties.
Anebi also admonished the promoted officers not to show discrimination in the choice of subordinate to work with as every person has something to bring to the table.
While showing his excitement to the promotion, the CG said what the Service has enjoyed since he came on board wouldn’t have been possible without the support of the Minister of Interior, Lt Gen Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau and President Muhammadu Buhari.
