Feghouli named La Liga’s best African player

Valencia’s attacking midfielder Sofiane Feghouli was named La Liga’s best African player of the 2014-15 season at the annual award ceremony on Monday.
The 25-year-old Algerian winger succeeds his international teammate and former Granada playmaker Yacine Brahimi.
Feghouli scored 6 goals and provided as many assists in 33 La Liga appearances last campaign.

Spanish giants Barcelona claimed most of the awards at the ceremony held in the capital city of Catalonia, with Argentine superstar Lionel Messi named forward and player of the year, Neymar crowned best South American player, Claudio Bravo awarded best keeper of the season and Luis Enrique winning coach of the year.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid’s Colombia international James Rodriguez was named best midfielder and his teammate Sergio Ramos claimed the award for best defender.
