FCSSIP25: Ministry rewards staff partaking in civil service reforms

The permanent secretary of the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Dr Nasir Sani-Gwarzo, has said the ministry has formulated strategic policies in order to realise the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan 2021-2025 (FCSSIP25).

He stated this Wednesday in Abuja during the second quarter consultative forum/interactive meeting of the Directors/Heads of Reforms Coordination and Service Improvement with the Permanent Secretary, Service Policies and Strategies Office (SPSO).

He said: “As we are all aware, the first consultative meeting was held on Friday 31st March, 2023. Based on the agreement reached at the meeting that the hosting of the consultative forum be done by MDAS, the ministry has decided to take up the challenge to be the first MDA to host this all important forum.

“This lays credence to the fact that the ministry has been on course in driving the ongoing reforms in the Federal Civil Service, especially as regards to the FCSSIP25. The ministry has achieved a lot in the institutionalisation of reforms since the beginning of the year.

“The ministry has installed Digital Signage that display the entire content of FCSSIP25 and its enablers throughout the duration of the office hours and even beyond. The ministry organised a sensitisation workshop on culture change for all staff of the ministry in furtherance of the FCSSIP 25. The workshop was held from the 7th-9th March, 2023.

“Reward and recognition ceremony for deserving staff of the ministry was held last week Thursday, 11th May. The ministry remains committed in the advancement of reforms and is ready to partner with the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation in ensuring that the civil service is transformed into world class service.”
