President, ECOWAS Youth Council (EYC), Mr. Emmanuel William, has unveiled the plans of the association to identify and promote young Nigerians who have contributed to the service of humanity.
William disclosed this recently in Abuja while presenting a distinguished West African Young Philanthropist of the 2017 Award to the Founder of KBK Foundation, Mr. Oluseyi Odewale.
He said the association did a lot of scrutiny and conducted investigation about the award’s recipient and his foundation before bestowing the award on him and described him as ‘a man of purpose, vision and mission’.
The Country’s Director of the KBK Foundation, Mrs Vallery Arua, who received the award on behalf of the recipient, said: “It is not everybody that has money that will do what Odewale is doing. He is a Nigerian in Diaspora that uses his personal money to run NGO, giving back to the humanity.
Arau, who thanked the ECOWAS’ Youth Council for the award conferred on Odewale, described him as a man with a golden heart, who reaches out to the needy in the society.
She said: “Odewale is a man with a golden heart, who reaches out to the poor, the sick, people in the need of a decent education and pays their fees’’.
