Expert tasks youths on scientific knowledge

Nigerian youth have been challenged to strive hard in order to acquire scientific knowledge capable of moving the country to greater heights.

Chairman/CEO of IEC Engineering Limited, Engineer Hassan Odediran, stated this while receiving the ‘National Innovative Service Award 2017’ conferred on him by the Network of Civil Society Group (NOCSG) in Abuja.

“As engineers, we are the architect of a new Nigeria and we must work hard to ensure that we move Nigeria from its present state beyond the technological revolution of advanced countries of the world”.

He posits further that “creativity is the bane of engineering services, therefore there is need for the government to encourage our youths in going into technology training to make our nation great, he said”.

In his conferment speech, National President of the Network of Civil Society Group (NOCSG), Comrade Olusegun Abodunrin, eulogised the virtues of this great man as a role model in nation building.

He said the group decided to honour Hassan based on his contributions to technological advancement in Nigeria.

“We were marveled at the deployment of technology display through the use of local materials with imported parts to produce modern hot plates in the restaurant of IEC VILLA RESORT to assist customers who wishes to cook for themselves”.

“Even the rooms and lobbies in the Resort are virtually remote controlled. This include curtains, bed, toilet water system, baths and so on including request from the bar and restaurant, he enthused”.

Abodurin enjoined Nigerian parents and the federal government to continue to play their roles in the development of Science and Technological education in Nigeria
