Exhibitors, participants laud Focus Africa at CEO conference in Abuja

Exhibitors and visitors over the weekend said the Focus Africa Expo conference participation by both local and international business organisations, with an array of Nigerian and African-made goods and well-packaged products can fit into the international market.

The chairperson, Focus Africa Series/Emerging Women, and chairperson, Centre for Gender Value and Culture, Mrs. Alanyingi Sylva, while declaring the conference open, said Focus Africa Women Forum provides a platform for women’s empowerment, advocacy and training.

She pointed out that women have contributed to the advancement of business, politics and cultural transformation globally.

She said, “This platform is created to help every woman re-imagine, rebuild and reset the pathways of change to unleash the power within them.”

Mrs. Sylva added that the platform has become a major gathering for businesses from all over Nigeria, Africa and across the world, adding that it is indeed a landmark event that has revealed a lot that women need to know and understand what Focus Africa series and emerging women has to offer.

The former first lady of Bayelsa state also said the high level of engagement from various sectors and government agencies, was proof that the Nigerian government was ready to exploit the opportunities provided by the conference.

Alanyingi urged the exhibitors and participants to take advantage of the information gathered at this year’s Focus Africa Expo conference to grab the opportunities provided so that Nigeria can also compete favourably with other African countries already ahead of it.
