Suspected bandits with heavy weapons Thursday morning kidnapped a former Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier Maharazu Tsiga.
Brigadier Tsiga was abducted in his house at Tsiga village in Bakori local government of Katsina state.
According to information available to Blueprint, Brigadier Tsiga was kidnapped around 12:35a.m. in his house after a strong resistance from the security man guarding his house.
It was further gathered that the former NYSC boss was kidnapped along with 11 others from the community including three of his neighbours.
Source a very loud gunshot was heard in the village before the kidnappers took the Army officer away.
At the time of filing this report, the police were yet to respond to enquiries about the incident as several calls to the PPRO were ignored.
