Ex-Minister sweeps NASS result in Yobe, heads back to Reps

The immediate past Minister of Foreign Affairs (state), Hon. Khadija Bukar Ibrahim is set to return to the lower chamber of the National Assembly after pulling significant votes in the just concluded National Assembly Elections in Yobe state.

Professor Maimuna Waziri from Federal University Gashua who was the returning officer, said Khadija of All Progressives Congress (APC) got 34,293 votes while Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate ganered 3,531 votes in Damaturu local government area of the state.

At Tarmuwa, Khadija polled 11,498 in the area PDP got 2,070.

The former Minister in Gujba scored 11,967
votes while PDP got 669 votes.

As at time of filling this report, the returning officer said results from Gulani local government was still being awaited.
