…Former Communication Minister Prof Isa Pantami too
The Qausain Group of Companies, active in the broadcasting media, through its flagship Qausain TV channel, has appointed a veteran journalist and former broadcaster with the BBC Hausa Service, Ahmad Abba Abdullahi, as Non-Executive Director.
In a statement issued, Monday, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Qausain Group, Alhaji Nasir Musa Idris (Albani Agege), said the appointment was approved during the company’s board of directors’ meeting, held on Friday, October 4, 2024.
Nasir Albani further disclosed that Abba Abdullahi, who served with the BBC Hausa Service for 28 years before retiring voluntarily in July 2023, was appointed for a four-year term.
He said his role as a Non-Executive Director would involve promoting high standards of corporate governance, ensuring ethical conduct, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Similarly, the media group endorsed the appointment of a former military governor of Kano state, Col. Sani Bello (retd) as Chairman Pro Tem of the Board of Directors while a former Minister of Communication, Prof. Isa Ali Pantami, was also appointed as Non-Executive Director.
In another significant appointment, a renowned Kannywood actor and singer, Adam A. Zango, has been named Director General of Qausain TV.
While congratulating the new appointees, Nasir Albani urged them to utilise their extensive experience to further the goals, objectives, and mission of Qausain Group.
