Kano
European Union Support Immunisation Governance in Nigeria (EUSING) has approved the construction of the Cold Chain Stores and health facilities in four local government areas of Kano state.
Speaking at a meeting with the benefitting local government chairmen in his office yesterday, the Executive Secretary, Kano state Primary Health Care Management Board, Dr. Muhammad Nasir Mahamoud, said the gesture by EUSING was geared towards strengthening routine immunisation and other health services at the grass root.
According to him, the board would accord all necessary support to any organisation that was willing to offer any contribution that would go a long way towards boosting healthcare services in the state.
On his part, the state team leader, of the EUSING, Dr. Daiyyabu Muhammad, said the project that was expected to gulp hundreds of thousands of Euros would be executed in four local government areas with a view to supporting routine immunisation.
Speaking on behalf of the benefitting local government areas, the chairman, Kiru local government, Alhaji Nasir Mu’azu, expressed delight over the selection of their areas and pledged to be committed towards enhancing the quest for healthcare delivery in Kano.
