Europa League: Otubanjo admits Besiktas will be tough hurdle

Former youth international Yusuf Otubanjo has admitted it will be tough in Thursday’s UEFA Europa League third round qualification match between his Austrian club Linzer Athletik-Sport-Klubayalso known as LASK Linz and Besiktas.
LASK Linz saw off Norwegian side Lillestrom 6-1 on aggregate in the second-round qualification and Otubanjo told SCORENigeria the forthcoming fixture away at the Vodafone Park in Istanbul will not be for the faint-hearted.
“So far so good for us in the Europa League; we defeated Lillestrom last month and I featured for LASK,” Otubanjo said.
“I’m hopeful of a good outing when we travel to Besiktas on Thursday; it’s good we are playing away first, while we are going to host the second leg.” Otubanjo said LASK Linz are a strong side complete with string of foreign professional including the duo of German Alexander Riemann and Fabian Benko as well as Joao Victor of Brazil and Ghanaian Samuel Tetteh, who is on loan from Red Salzburg.
“Presently, I’m the only Nigerian with LASK and I consider it a big moment of my career,” said Otubanjo, who notched up an impressive 22 goals at FC Blau-Weiß Linz two seasons ago.
“I’m finding my feet gradually at LASK and I’m looking forward to scoring goals here too.” Otubanjo is undoubtedly one of the vastly-travelled Nigerians after playing for clubs like Atlético Madrid and FC Red Bull Salzburg
