Enyeama is not for sale, says Lille boss

LOSC Lille manager, Rene Girard, has stated in clear terms that the French Ligue 1 club are not going to sell off their Nigerian international, Vincent Enyeama.
Enyeama, 32, has been linked to two Barclays Premier League clubs, Liverpool and Sunderland, by French media this week, but Girard declared that The Great Danes will refuse any attempt to prise away their most trusted shot-stopper.
Girard also said Lille have not received any bid for Enyeama except reports in newspapers linking him to Liverpool and Sunderland.
The Lille boss also insisted that Enyeama is contracted to the French club until 2017.
“Vincent has a contract that doesn’t terminate until 2017 and we have no intention of letting go one of our best players.
“The only bid we have received for his services is the one I read from the newpapers. Lille as a club are yet to receive any bid. Every player is available for a certain fee but Enyeama is not for sale, even if a bid comes in we will smartly turn it down,” Girard told Le Foot.
Enyeama has made 12 league appearances for Lille this season and has conceded 10 goals in his team’s poor start to this term.
The former Enyeama man has so far appeared in 50 French Ligue 1 matches for Lille.
