Enugu: Monarch hails Mbah over sharing of subsidy palliative

The traditional ruler of Umuokara Orba autonomous community in Udenu local government area of Enugu  state, Igwe Dr. George Nwankwo Eze, has applauded Governor Peter Mbah in the way the fuel subsidy removal  palliatives were distributed.

Igwe Nwankwo Eze made the commendation in an interview with press men at the Government House, Enugu during a courtesy visit  to the deputy governor, Ifeanyi Ossai, in his office in company of some of his cabinet members.

Eze noted that Mbah and his deputy knew the expectations of the people and were equal to the task, saying that the good people of Enugu were behind them while carrying out their legitimate duties.

The royal father who said he was overwhelmed by the criteria of the distribution of the palliatives noted that it was a humanitarian exercise to alleviate the sufferings of the people,  especially, the down-trodden which he said were praying for God’s guidance on the governor and his deputy in their effort to minimize the sufferings of the people through the palliatives.

Igwe Eze also commended the federal government for initiating the palliative programme before spreading to other  states with Enugu as the first state that started the implemention of the palliative.  

He applauded the deputy governor who is the chairman of the palliative committee for spare-heading the programme to ensure that justice is done.
